Israeli Folk Dancing

No experience necessary! Emphasis on beginning dances and fun! Please wear non-marking dance or athletic shoes and comfortable attire.

Israeli folk dancing is a form of dance usually performed to music from Israel, with dances choreographed for specific songs. Most Israeli dances are performed in a circle, although there are also partner dances and line dances. Elements from other dance cultures are combined with the music and themes of modern Israel.

Gordon Hamlin has over 20 years experience leading and instructing and is the former director of: He’ari, Seattle Israeli Folkdance, “Wednesday Night’s at Stroum Jewish Community Center / Herzl Ner Tamid”.
